OS X 10.5.6 out now

OS X Leopard 10.5.6 update has been released. One of the key points in the update is - Safari: Improves compatibility with web proxy servers.

Ooh. We were 48 hours from starting to roll out a new 10.5.5 image. The main thing it fixes for us from an end user PoV was Safari. It used to instantly quit on any network user's account. Works fine now.

Suppose the new image route is the best way to go about this, rather than trying to update the existing clients?

Suppose thats the way I would do a Windows one anyway!

You could use ARD to deploy the update. If you have access to it that is.

Normally we'd install the package via Apple Remote Desktop. I'm only doing a new image as we have a large amount of new software to deploy, too. This way when we get new machines, I don't have to send out extra packages and scripts to make them current.

Yeah I've got ARD. Just thought it may cause problems doing OS updates with it. But if not, excellent!
