Mac Server OS X - on an eMac?

Hi all!

 

Right ok daft question time!!

 

I am new to Macs (as you will probably have noticed through some of my previous postings!!) and I want to learn as much as I can as quick as I can. I have read the AD-OD Sandbox article about Mac / Windows integration and it seems that before I embark on this, I should really try it in a test environment. Unfortunately, I do not have a test OS X server. So that brings me to my question. I have a couple of eMacs knocking around with 2GB RAM - would there be anyway that OS X Server would run on this box? I'm not too worried about performance - I just need something to learn on!

Will run fine. The only thing that won't work is the monitoring tools as the eMac does not have the hardware of an Xserve to monitor! We've run OS X server for various reasons on 1st gen Power Mac G5s, old 'sawtooth' G4s (400Mhz).
