Hi All,

I have a new science block being built soon and we are looking at the configurations of the new labs. Obviously IWB's feature in all rooms, but after being round some schools and from my own previous experience, does anyone know of a manufacturer/reseller/disti that can do the whiteboard control boxes (VGA, USB, audio output etc) into the dado trunking, like a data point or a wall socket. We're trying to go for the streamlined look here, so if anyone has any good suggestions or *pictures* for different types of IWB boxes it would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks in advance.

The Vision Techconnect faceplates are just single gang which takes 2 of their modules or double gang which takes 5 modules these would fit.

Hi There,

I have a few images of installs of which we have carried out in schools and colleges nationwide. Unlike tec-connect, you decide what you want in the loom on either double or single box.If you go to our website you can email me through that and i will return images as requested. I think this is exactly what you are looking for as we have just done the same in another new build. If you want us just to supply you the loom that is fine

Kind Regards

Seeing as all the tech connect cables are individual and you can buy them as such or as part of an install kit I don't see how the point you made is valid?

You mean like this: SP Controls Inc. ?

They have a wire that goes from the "plate" to the projector, and sits in front of the IR receiver on it, so you don't need a remote. The advantage of these systems is that they all look the same irrespective of projector, you don't need a remote, and you can set them to switch off at certain times.

I'm trying to convince people we need to retrofit these into our 70 projectors ... not likely to happen, but for the new ones..

EDIT: Just realised you meant IWB not projectors, still applies though, the plate is configurable.

For our data projectors we get a metal plate (otherwise they break), that are manufactured by rapid http://www.rapid.co.uk/ although I can't find the plate on their site... useless..
