Smartboard service

On one of three identical laptops, same software installed - smartboard service isn't starting making the smartboard inactive. I've taken some things off startup, but cannot see why sometimes it starts and sometimes it doesn't.

 

As an interim measure I've set teacher as local admin and put a short cut to services on her desktop and shown her how to start the service. Any ideas as to why and/or any better solutions?

What version of Smart are you using on which Windows OS?

Xp pro and smart 9.7 (I think)

any errors in event viewer ( control panel --> event viewer ) regarding or relating to the smartboard service or software ?

 

If so what is the event id and the description ?

 

If you sort the event viewer by date assuming you have received the errors before you go into event viewer it should show up.
