Hightower Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 We use virtual cd for some of our software and I'm looking to create a shortcut for each image so it loads without the user having to insert the image or use the CD Rom Player. I've seen this article before on RM but can't find it now - anyone got any clues? If I remember correctly the shortcut had to be something like: "L:\Path to something here\ -s V:\Path to image" where -s is a switch of some sort. If I remember the right, the first path pointed to the CD player or something
Guest Guest Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 Daemon Tools can do it with the Daemon Scripts addon. Its great, and can be programed to do all sorts, like wait a few seconds to give the virtual drive chance to mount and then load the software. http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/download.php?mode=ViewCategory&catid=2
Hightower Posted December 1, 2008 Author Posted December 1, 2008 Not quite what I'm after. I'm after a simple shortcut command so I can use it for my shortcuts.

kmount Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 It's not what he's after, he's after using RM's Virtual CD platform which already has the images loaded etc. If he had wanted a solution from the start then yes I'd agree with yours. I'll have a look tomorrow for how you can achieve it, are you using VCD4 or 7?

kmount Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 True, think I have an eye for it now having noticed L:\ and the "Virtual CD" shortcut idea combined with the mention of RM in there.
Hightower Posted December 1, 2008 Author Posted December 1, 2008 VCD4 - Cheers KMOUNT. I've seen the article before and tested it - works a treat, just cannot for the life of me find it again.
Sylv3r Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 Here you go: "C:\Program Files\H+H\Virtual CD 4\System\vcdcmd.exe" /i V:\Test\Test.vc4 U: /x U:\StartMe.exe 1
