nmaccadmins Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 I've successfully bound my macs & server to our AD but we've got a slight issue. When a user tries to login they get past the Login window but their home area isn't mounted. It's as if it freezes. The AD plugin is set to use the unc path and to mount using smb. The home areas are stored on a Windows Server. Anyone had any similar problems?
jamesb Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 I remember experiments with trying to do this at one school I was at. If I remember correctly it ended up that a script had to be used. dougchase Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 Seems like when I have any difficult issue with AD, Xgrid, Podcast Producer, it frequently turns out to be DNS-related.
