Norphy Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 I'm buying a pair of these and I want to whack another processor into one of them. Simple question I hope. Will the server come with two heatsinks and therefore be able to get away with buying a standard AMD boxed Opteron 246 for £107 or do I need to spend £226 on an HP "specific" Opteron 246? I suspect I know the answer to this but I thought I'd ask anyway
plexer Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 Well the dual processor capable DL140 I just bought didn't come with a heatsink for the second cpu so I guess you gotta get the correct one. Wether you buy it with a processor of can get it seperately I wouldn't know. Ben
