We bought another wifi print server recently and I'd like to automate its setup. I can add the printer using the install CDROM but I'd like to script its install instead. Problem I'm having is getting the right prnport.vbs command to add the port correctly- I just can't do it!

Running "prnport -l" on the machine with the working driver setup gives this output:

-------------------

Server name

Port name IP_192.168.2.200P1

Host address

Protocol LPR

Queue

Byte Count Enabled

SNMP Disabled

----------------

As you can see there is no Host address in the correct entry, and I'd imagine I need the '-o lpr' switch in there. I've tried all sorts of combinations of -r, -h and -q settings (as well as -a) but I can't duplicate the port settings as produced by the CDROM (as above), I can only create a port with a Host address but I don't want that.

This begs another question- given specific printer/port settings, is there not a tool that converts a given printer setup into the required prnport.vbs and prnmngr.vbs commands/switches that would create that setup? That would be very useful indeed and would save lots of poking and experimenting.

Your help is much appreciated!
