Hi

Is there a way of setting up individual permissions for certain members of staff.

For Example

1.Teachers have access their own marksheets only

2.Subject Leader have access to their own marksheets, and all other ICT marksheets and reports.

3. Heads of Year has access to all subject marksheets across a specific year group.

Is there any way that this can be set up within Sims AM7?

Thanks for your help in advance.

The default setup is that teachers have access to only their marksheets. Also the head of year has a marksheet as well when you create the class ones, they get assigned a year one.

As for giving heads of departments access to others I think you may need to put them on as supervisors or something similar.

By default teachers have access to there own marksheets.

In AM7 you need to add the course to the marksheet, this will then allow the HOD and supervisor access, to check who has access you need to look in course manager under the course.

3. Heads of Year has access to all subject marksheets across a specific year group.

You need to include the year group in the marksheet, then whoever has access as defined in the pastrol system will have access to it.

Not that i think you need to do this but you could setup your own groups and associated rights in System Manager. You do need to know what permissions does what tho as its not always obvious and some will be dependant on other permissions. Furthermore capita will add/change permission for different functionality so you will need to account for that.

I think the general rule is that capita will allow you to do this but if you get an error thats related to your groups then they wont support you.
