Do you have a proofreader for the site? I ask following ITWITCH's earlier comment on the mugs.

It got me thinking - and I don't want to say this without sounding rude, but sometimes some of the announcements could do some proofreading first. I'm sure that myself or Sarah would be happy to run our eyes over things if you wanted things proof-read.

PM me if you'd like to take me up on the offer!

Absolutely!

As some of you know, I have offered as well and look forward to helping, as I do not like to be critical all the time!!

Can I make the suggestion that all items published outside the forum/blogs are proof read, as there are mistakes in need of correction. Take a look at the notes published from the recent Northern conference for example.

I agree with you, although you could do with a little bit of proof reading of your own post:

"say this without sounding rude, but sometimes some of the announcements could do *INSERT with HERE* some proofreading first."

Hehe - although it does illustrate Zoe's point nicely :)

to be honest we do try and do that sometime time means stuff gets published before being proofread...

Its old stuff to certin degree hence why we have taken on indiegirl and itwitch to try and sort the problems that there as once got rid old mistakes we can then go from there and way forward will be better..

Pete I did notice your mistake before you quickly edited it, remember you proof read before you submit, that’s what the preview button is for. Incidentally Petes mistake is a typo where he had hit the 'S' key instead of the 'D' key in the word reading

I just use the spellbound extension for firefox personally.

http://spellbound.sourceforge.net/

No point in expending valuable energy when you can get technology to do the job for you. :)

LOL

Is that really sufficient Geoff as it does not pickup poor grammar, the above should read, "No point expending" there is no reason for using the word "in" here.

Just spotted this on the Lancs Uni Page

We Liked To Thank Lancaster University For Offering This Discount To Our Members

Remove the 'd' from Liked - it reads as though you would have liked to thank them but won't :)

Would be better if it read ' Edugeek would like to thank .....................'
