Has anyone heard of being able to do something similar to windows terminal services on a mac? I mean, being able to have multiple users logged onto one mac terminal services server (is that the correct expression? )

I dont know if this is a feature of mac os server alone or not, I havent heard anything about it, just thought it would be an interesting angle on the thin client front if macs were able to be run through thin clients.

I think the easist thing for what you are thinking of is to use to allow the Mac to access a Windows terminal server (or other terminal server) using some of the apps described here (http://www.macwindows.com/emulator.html#NTappservers)

I don't know of any method of making OS X Server into a terminal server other than for remote shells (not running any form of GUI)

It would be interesting as proof of concept but a bit of a waste of a server really.

Does Mac OS X work the standard *nix way. i.e. Is it using a X server of some description? If it is, then you should be able to use XDMCP to do this.

Mac can run X inside of aqua, (i do it to run nix apps like xchat), you can install it straight from the developer section of the OSX DVD so in theory, i guess this is possible...

netboot allows you to set up a Mac server to run an OS over the network to the clients, this means you can have 1 image on the server to use for the clients.
