Laptop - tripple boot help

Hey guys, I need some serious help here.

 

At uni, we are using computers for a tripple boot system, windows xp prof, windows server 2003, and the linux program susey 10.3.

 

The thing is, i was going to get a laptop so that i could load all three onto it, and not have to worrie about corrupting my home computer, as my tutor has already said that we will be corrupting and fixing problems, though i want a laptop also for notes ect in class.

 

So the main reason i have come to you guys is because the tutor bloke has said that susey 10.3 can course major problems on "some" laptops, so i need a laptop that is going to def work, and i hope you guys will know what im on about and what sort of laptop i need.

 

OFC im not rich so a normal laptop will do, i think it needs to be around 140gb, so it can be bigger to be safe.

 

any idea's guys?.

To be honest, these days any laptop should be fine for most flavours of linux.

 

That said - I assume you mean SUSE linux, so it would be good to know which flavour of SUSE you're gonna use (openSUSE, Novell, etc).

 

That way you can chek the system requirements for that exact distro

can you use external hard drives and switch as required??

 

Does it really need to be a laptop as a desktop with swapable drives would be ideal
