When you shouldn't have clicked OK . . .

. . . and only then noticed the tick box that you didn't want to tick, is ticked:( I am forever telling people to read the dialogue boxes before clicking OK it's so embarrassing to do it myself.:o

Now I have a piece of software starting whenever I put a CD into the drive. Is there a way to set it back to asking me what I want to do?

Thanks

Yep, that's the way!

Unless its something like...

Nero Smartstart or Nero Vision

*scream*

Erm not exactly though it is Nero - does that make a difference to what I have to do?

I'll have a look at the CD drive properties tomorrow and keep my fingers crossed. I don't really want to have to uninstall I have too many other things to do.

Thanks one and all.

It was an example of a piece of software where you just Next>Next>Next install and it takes over, changes ALL your file extensions to open with its terrible programs.

Update on this issue:

I put "ask me . . . " into the drive properties - no effect the software still took over.

I rolled the machine back to before I did the dastardly deed and now it is OK.

Thanks
