I've setup a server to be a proxy for the network with two interfaces a external one and a internal one. Im using destination nat on iptables to allow traffic in for web servers and stuff but the problem is in all the logs im getting the proxy ip for the accessing client which isnt ideal.

How can i fix this so it shows the real ip to the webserver

Thanks

Smoothwall could do it or something similar where it could destination nat and the ip was fine in the logs. Might not be the same.

Is there any way to accomplish that.

The logging engine on your web server doesn't know where the original request came from, because your proxy mangles it. If you want to log them, either log it on the proxy or have it mangle the user agent or something to show the IP in there.
