We have a suite of machines that a previous technician was setting up before they suddenly left.

Anyway they designed a cracking XP wallpaper, only problem is they didn't seem to save the JPG anywhere and it just seems to be 'cached' by Windows in some wacky manner.

Is there any way to grab the cached wallpaper and save it back into a JPG file?

This should work (in theory). Open up Task Manager and kill explorer.exe. All the desktop icons will disappear. Now press Print Screen on your keyboard.

From Task Manager, click File > New Task (Run...) and type explorer.exe

Now open up MS Paint or any image application and choose Edit > Paste.
