Passat1983ICTech Posted Tuesday at 10:39 Posted Tuesday at 10:39 Hello just want to know if anyone has moved their print services to Entra and PaperCut as well want to know how you did this. Did you get on with this, and were there any problems with moving it Any help would be helpful
DalekSec Posted Tuesday at 10:52 Posted Tuesday at 10:52 We use Papercut Hive, had a few teething issues but been fine for last year or so. We're full cloud based and no servers
Sylv3r Posted Tuesday at 11:02 Posted Tuesday at 11:02 PaperCut Hive here too - 22 schools I think all using it including two secondaries. Some features not available as compared as to PaperCut MF - but the schools haven't really missed them.
Synkrox Posted Tuesday at 13:49 Posted Tuesday at 13:49 Entra / Universal Print / Papercut MF here. All fine, I think?! We are hybrid AD so users are synced to on prem. But jobs come in through the Universal Print cloud path.
itskdog Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Our MFDs don't support the full version of Hive, so we're staying on MF at the moment. Set up Entra sync instead of AD sync (make sure you back up staff ID numbers before deleting the old accounts!), and used Print Deploy+Mobility Print to push the drivers to the PCs. Your PaperCut supplier should be able to help you with this. I would recommend setting up SAML Auth (new in v26) instead of OAuth for M365 login to the web UI if you can, as I find it's quicker and you don't have to pick the account name, and make sure to disable username/password login on the web UI, too.
