Anyone else successfully setup the Office 365 SMTP service? I'm having trouble so far..

Upon clicking "grant access" in Bromcom you get met with this error. The app in entra is a "multi tenant" application, so I cannot make any changes to it from my end, ticket open with Bromcom support.

IME it is usually better to go with a 3rd party SMTP relay like mailgun (I believe they still have a free-but-needs-a-credit-card plan). Takes a little setup (eg getting DMARC and SPF set up) but ultimately Microsoft dont want to handle SMTP relay for you, and it's just always haaard...

Well BC support came back to me and oAuth looks to be broken for 365

With the old auth methods being retired from Microsoft I cannot go back to using the previous method, so looking at other options now.

Got as far as clicking grant and signing in with 365 credentials, to be then taken back to Bromcom displaying a white screen and nothing else. Glad to know it's not just me having issues.

They are investigating & it is a wide spread issue, however they don't have a fix yet.

Would be nice if they could get it working over the next day or two, rather use oAuth for free than pay a third party (or use bromcom SMTP) for a SMTP service.

"Old" Method is still working absolutely fine for us... we've never bothered changing to oAuth as last we tried it had to be linked up using a Tenancy Admin account, with no option to change the identity it then sent as.

Admittedly you will end up spending some $ if you go the 3rd party route and need more than 100 emails a day - but otoh you will get better logging and deliverability, and you can use it for other non-bromcommy stuff if you have requirements for other tools to deliver mail as your school.

Yea, ours was working prior.. wish I hadn't touched it now.

After I tried to setup oAuth with 365, I attempted to revert back to the old method & all the details had been cleared from the "Your Own SMTP Server" page. I set it back up exactly how it was before & now it doesn't work.

Our 365 integration has been broken since day one in October as we are hosted by Scomis. Bromcom don't seem in a rush to fix this for us. It was nice of them to break it for everyone else so I don't feel left out!

My support ticket for this issue has just been updated with the below

"This has now been passed up to our Escalations team for further investigation. A member of the team will be in touch once a suitable update is available.

Many thanks for your continued patience."

Glad it's not just broken for me.
