FCC rules on home routers effects on UK.

Does anyone think that the FCC rules will end up influencing UK/European rules on home routers or other networking kit like Ubiquiti?  I basing this on the effect it had on Chinese network kit in the past.

I doubt it in the short/medium. I don't see what the alternatives would be unless we put all the Huawei stuff back in..

I think the days of us blindly following the decisions made by the US Gov't are behind us personally.

I'm assuming the decision is less about American tech companies not spying on consumers (they will), and more about the US/China balance on which govt can get access to that intel.

From what I understand, this applies to consumer equipment. I wouldn't consider Ubiquiti typical consumer equipment.
