ah man, huge presence in snooker and 80s/90s entertainment. Lovely bloke too, time for anyone, seen in many an exhibition. Great commentator, and loved Big Break back in the day!

That is sad, still, 79 is a good innings (or frame), and he did come over as a very nice guy.
In snooker his age equates to - 9 reds with blacks + 1 red with blue + 1 yellow + 1 green

To young to see him play but loved him on big break and his commentary was brilliant.
