Techsoft Design V3

Hi
We have a site licence for Techsoft Design V3 and we are also allowed 4 stand alone PC's.
Our technology teacher wants to be able to check students work when she is at home, but when she starts Techsoft, it is looking for the licence server which is obviously in school.
I have the activation code for the stand alone version - do I have to uninstall Techsoft and then reinstall with the stand alone activation key or is there a way of transferring the key without uninstall / re-install?

I believe there is also different installation files for stand alone Techsoft. Which I got from the portal but might be the reason it is looking for a school type licence. I just sent the user the files and activation code and they have managed to get on with no issues.

Cheers for the response - I have just heard back from Techsoft and it seems that I have to uninstall the current version and then install the standalone version.  I was just hoping to change the activation key.
