Hi folks,

I haven't paid much attention to cumulative updates being deployed with MEMCM's automatic deployment rules (ADR) before, but I've noticed that they don't seem to be picked up. The ADR is set to pick updates that are classified as "Critical Updates", "Definition Updates", "Security Updates", "Update Rollups", and "Updates". Classifications that aren't picked are "Feature Packs", "Service Packs", "Tools", and "Upgrades".

Anyone know what classification the CUs fall under, if any of those? Or can CUs only be deployed manually via MEMCM?

The related objective is that I'd like to automate the updateing of our Win 10 ESU machines with the CUs that seem to be coming so far.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Resolved, I think. The ADR is set to run on second Tuesday, and I suspect it missed the Nov 11 cumulative update (KB5068781) because it was the same day. So I’ve tweaked the rule to run second Wednesday and manually deployed KB5068781 for now. There’s another patch out for Win 10 ESU machines, KB5072653, but I can see in the ADR preview that it’s picking it up, so I will let that install when it next runs.
