Hi,

I had this exact same issue and they sent the following out:

As per the conversation we have shipped the Back Plane.
Please find the Back Plane details below.
>Part Number:878930-001
>Part Desc: Hot Plug Hard drive backplane supports 4-Large Form Factor (LFF), 12 Gb/s transfer rate SAS
>Qty:1

This solved our issue with those lights.

Thank-you. Looks like will have to splash some cash as be cheaper than buying a warranty!

Does the array have to be rebuilt after replacing or does all remain in tact?

I don't want to guarantee but when I did mine I didn't need to rebuild any array, I just made sure that the drives went back in the same order as they were taken out and everything worked.

Probably best to ensure you have backups beforehand though!

We have had a few backplanes replaced and there was no need for a rebuild. It wasn't the same model server though.
