Windows 11 Machines keep getting locked out - Security log full

Hi everyone,

 

Currently upgrading my machines to Windows 11.

 

For some reason these mahcines are fine but after a while the Windows security logs get full and then prevent anyone apart from the admin from logging in.

I then have to go and clear the logs to enable the machine to function again and allow logins.

 

I'm guessing there is a GPO setting somewhere that I could change to make sure the logs are set to over write and avoid this problem.

 

Anyone got any ideas?

Check your GPO settings in Computer Configuration > Policies > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Event Log Services > Security

 

specifically the Control Event log behaviour when the log file reaches its maximum size and the specify the maximum log file size settings
