Can anyone recommend an open-source DLNA server that has the ability to restrict IP's that can access the content (but no logins etc)? This will only be internal, needs to be nothing fancy, just require the aforementioned IP restriction.

I'm actually going off Synology due to it's cost of supported RAM and Drives whilst I could live with the cost of the actual NAS hardware it self at a basic level even if it does lag behind but the software is what sells it. Going TrueNAS now.

I'm on my 6th Synology NAS and all have performed brilliantly apart from a dodgy 3rd party RAM which caused a volume to go down. Thankfully separate backup saved the day  #ARaidIsNotBackup 😉 of course ZFS would of potentially saved the data.

Even if you get a DLNA server and want to control access via IP the possibly quick and dirty method would be some sort of firewall on the server.
