Windows 11 intune and shared devices

Hi,

 

Having a bit of a mare at my new job.

 

The intune setup was already done when I arrived but wasn't setup for shared devices. We added the shared devices policy but it stopped OneDrive working and messed up explorer so we took that off. They are set as shared devices in autopilot and the company portal states they are shared devices but on a few a user will log on and if they don't log off it stays on there account even after a reboot or shutdown and I can't get it off without getting the user to log in then off. Can't see how to change it.

 

We've also got an issue with it not signing into edge so they don't her their favourites or auto sign in to MS stuff. It says it's blocked but a policy but the policy is setup correctly.

 

Also, how do you deal with papercut..the logon prompt is annoying and randomly the computer asks for admin rights to install the printer. A colleague made a script to install the driver via the portal but that randomly fails.

 

First time using intune.. really could do with a rsop type tool to see if anyone has setup policies previously that's messing things up

For Shared Devices, there is shared policy with KFM and one without.

For the papercut, we have a single follow me print queue so use print deploy for that.
For the 1-2-1 printers, i have a script which i package up to install the driver and then add the printer to each user who logs into the device.

 

for Edge sync, double check you have no profile conflicts, thats the single biggest thing which causes issues and is often overlooked.

meh - intune, I pulled the intune project at my new place as shared devices was a nightmare!
