Instagram. Aspect ratios?

Hi folks,

 

I couldn't find an ideal technical forum for this, so posting here. (Mods, feel free to move it belongs elsewhere)

 

We're using Instagram for school publicity. I'm not a regular user, and Instagram's fixed aspect ratios for all photos are annoying. When posting via the website you seem to have a choice of three aspect ratios, and then all posted photos follow that aspect ratio. Just to check that my understanding is correct, and that you cannot change per photo on the website?

 

Does the app behave the same way? (iPhone app, in case it makes any difference)

 

If a "yes" to both I will ask staff to try and stick to one aspect ratio.
