neonetman Posted June 25, 2025 Posted June 25, 2025 We've had a few sites recently where the Smoothwall filter has said the SSL Cert is not from a trusted authority. All of these sites have certificates issues by Sectigo. Has anyone else come across this, and if so what was your resolution?
ThomL Posted June 25, 2025 Posted June 25, 2025 Had this for a second time today - I've been downloading the missing certs and uploading them to the smoothwall.
ITGuyNW Posted June 25, 2025 Posted June 25, 2025 When I queried this with Smoothwall a few weeks ago "We only update our CA list during software releases, so it's possible that some sites are now using certificates not included by default. We’ve raised this with our developers and are working on a solution to allow certificate list updates between releases, to avoid the need for customers to manually add CAs."
tom_newton Posted June 25, 2025 Posted June 25, 2025 Maiden30 is released today to first customers (Next week to all) - if you are on Leeds, there's a good opportunity to get up to the latest main release, as this is where all updates come first (Leeds84 will be along in late July with the same fix). If you have any trouble with upgrading to Maiden - we can help.
