To remove students from pre-admission groups in Bromcom

Hi

A colleague of mine is trying to delete some students who are currently on roll, from pre-admission groups in which they were erroneously input. She logged a ticket with the Bromcom helpdesk and received the following response:

Thanks for contacting Bromcom support. It looks like these students are still sitting within modules>admin>finalise admissions.

You will need to go through ALL of your admission groups and change the Action to 'Withdraw confirmation'>find the students>click on Update and then change the Action back to Confirm All and press Admit NOT Update. Check the admission date entered is correct also.

This should then show them in on roll list only.

We have both tried to follow these instructions, but I have not been able to proceed further, as per the attached. I am wary of proceeding further for fear of making irreversible errors.

Would it be possible for someone to provide precise instructions as to how to do this? Just to reiterate – we only want to remove them from pre-admission groups, and not their current student record.

I'd say from your screenshots that you're seeing the warning / confirmation that this will admit more than the planned intake because the max intake of the year group is set to 100, and you already have 191 kids in it, not because you're doing anything wrong:

Setting the planned intake is part of the process when creating an admissions group. So, when working on the 9-2022 group, you will see this warning. If the group you choose has a lower already-admitted figure than max set for that group, then you won't see the warning / confirmation.
 

The button labels on the confirmation are entirely UNintuitive. Click cancel to ignore warning & proceed, click proceed to cancel.
