Promethean Screen Repairs

Had two Promethean screens fail recently

 

Has anyone got any recommendations for someone that can come and repair them?

 

Looks like the backlight has gone in both as I can see stuff on the screen just very faintly.

 

We are in Central London

They will quote directly if they're not in warranty, but it usually comes out financially unviable and isn't far off buying a new screen.

I would be inclined to take it apart if not under warranty and find the part number/ any identifiable information on the backlight. 

It's almost certain to be a generic part and you will probably find a compatible one on aliexpress /ebay

That was definitely my thinking. It's no mean feat though finding someone capable of helping you take the bloody thing off the wall!

Backlight repair is easy - getting the panel(s) off and back on in one piece to get to the backlights however is something else entirely. Need glazing grips and a lot of space!

Hence my question.

 

What I'd really like ideally is a nice friendly man with an assistant that isn't too expensive to both source the bulbs and fix the problem.
