Hi there

 

I have a member of staff asking us to install the above software on her school laptop for marking exams over the Summer. Do other schools generally allow this or are there reasons we should not? We would potentially be holding data on our systems in relation to persons not connected to the school...

Have a look at 

The same thing applies. You may find that the terms of the software state it shouldn't be used on a school PC. There are also tax, benefit, and school IT policy restrictions on this. Our answer here is 'no'.

They are marking third party exams for a third party and getting paid (seperatly from your school) for it.

 

They can use their own laptop not school property.
