Is it possible to setup the Smoothwall so access remotely is available through its :441 port?

And ideally restrict this access to external IP addresses I specify

Hi you can do this by going to network > Smoothwall Access

Then creating a policy from the source IP you specify then web-based admin on HTTPS (441) then set the action to allow

Whilst it's possible, there are fewer things I'd expose to the internet than the focal security point of my network. Note the need to risk assess inbound connections.

That said, if it was just your filter and you can live with it being Ddos'd... :)

If you have Entra ID P1, look at App Proxy. It's not perfect on Smoothwall but works for 95% of the tasks you need to do on it. All while protecting it via an extra, layer of security.

This is only a temporary thing so we can setup some additional interfaces remotely before we go live with the change of network. After that, local access will be possible anyway
