wds server, unattend xml, domain join and plain text credentials...

I was again looking into creating an XML for the unattend (this is my 3rd attempt since windows8) DSIM is not my friend. 

 

Anyhow I've got stuck on the domain join part, it seems I must leave plain text user credentials in the XML file, that is readable by any domain member... Am I missing something?

I'm sure I read somewhere that you could encode the credentials in some text format but I don't remember where.

 

Personally we just join the domain manually once installed.

If you do enter the credentials anywhere make sure that you are using an account with jus the right delegated permissions and not jus a domain admin.
