There was a national Data Managers course that used to run but i cant for the life of me know what it was called or even if it still exists. A sound knowledge in Excel/Access with a good understanding of the life cycle of a student with respect to their assessments and what the DfE expect, KS1 >> KS2 >> KS3 >> KS4 >> KS5. The bit between the keystages is obviously your schools assessment/tracking/reporting structure Training on the assessment area of your MIS system (SIMS/Facility/Other) SISRA/GO4Schools/4Matrix 3rd party assessment analysis software Of course asking questions and reading the threads on EduGeek is by far the best learning tool you will need!!
Sanm2009 Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Thanks for your reply. I am currently the Network Manager and now also looking at school Data. I am ok with excel and can represent Data using excel. I was just thinking a course aimed at school data might give me a head start. We use SPTO for all assessments.
