I wasn't seen by the Ofsted team, but I had a number of senior/middle leaders come to me asking for data which we already had but they hadn't taken into their meetings! One of the weirdest requests I had was for data to be presented in a different format, as the inspector couldn't read the colours that I had done my graphs in! Regards, jrma91

In the meantime I pulled together data as requested. Just waiting for the end of day 1 meeting to finish to see if there is anything I need to do for tomorrow.
mark80 Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Yesterday was heavily focused on pupil premium students, transition matricies for Eng & Maths for KS4 including the gender split. Also the Narrowing the Gap bandings from KS2 (Low, Middle & High). They were also eagle eyed on RAISEOnline specifically targetting the individual subjects who performed sig-, we were ok on those as we had a lot of appeals that arent reflective in raise yet. Bottom line really is Pupil Premium and tracking its effectiveness and levels of progress at any given point for Eng & Maths (but also other subjects)
NormalDistribution Posted March 5, 2014 Author Posted March 5, 2014 These are some additional things I have been asked for, bear in mind I have transition matrices for every subject from Y7-Y13 for all classes and student groups. As this I think would have been a focus but we had it to hand. - Accuracy of predictions: Current Y11 at last Assessment Point compared to 2013 cohort at same point. Current Y10 compared to current Y11 at same point, Current Y9 compared to current Y10 at same point. - KS4 APS of Pupil Premium students for last two years and current predictions. - Detailed KS5 transition grids for weaker KS5 subjects for current Y13 - More detail around those making 4 levels of progress - QSR rates over time and projected - Attendance of students on alternative provision.
mark80 Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Second this "KS4 APS of Pupil Premium students for last two years and current predictions" as i was just asked this morning, I also had to hand thier FFT APS which helped when looking at it relative to non PP APS When you say more detail around those making 4 levels what did they mean? Lead HMI said they will not be wanting anymore data after 12 - we will see
NormalDistribution Posted March 5, 2014 Author Posted March 5, 2014 Our 4+ levels percentages are a little mixed compared to national especially at sub-level but at whole levels this looks a lot better. So it was to do with that.
mark80 Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Stands to reason the 4+ levels % are to be a little mixed at sub level as the numbers of learners at each sub level are lower, or concentrated around a sub level eg lots of 3c, 4c, 5c, but less b's and a's etc...
NormalDistribution Posted March 5, 2014 Author Posted March 5, 2014 A late call for data was achievement of students on Alternative Provision. I had this for previous years but not the projection for 2014 so had to calculate that - focus on capped/total points.
