Google Slides & Bandwith Throttling

Prewarning: this may be more of an 'us' issue!

 

Anyone else noticing some sort of bandwith throttling when using Google Slides? We have two photography classes (Y11/Y13) which at start of every lesson, struggle to load into their slides document. (the document opens but no images load and eventually get replaced with the error symbol).

 

After 10-15 minutes and a few people managing to load in, everyone else loads in perfectly fine so I can only assume its being throttled due to the amount of images being requested at once. Anyone else notice anything like this?

I had someone report something similar at the begining of the year over in our art centre. I couldn't replicate and I haven't heard anything since so assumed it just went away.
