I may have misunderstood the FAQ but did the 36-48 hours mentioned mean over this weekend (aka it's not happening)? Or is that planned during the week, so even if it goes down Sunday evening it'll then be another 48 hours?

I’m not an official spokesperson but last I heard there has been some sort of hiccup, but it should all still be going ahead. I think ZH is currently draining Shetland of caffeine while trying to sort it out. My fingers are firmly crossed.

I dont expect it to be 48 hours but we had a wide window just in case. I am working through the last late issues right now.

Good luck, I've done a few of these Vbulletin moves over the years and its easier to start as vanilla as possible, then build up from there over time. Maintaining the SEO links is the most important usually. Users resetting their passwords is also a good idea on the security front and is a nice way to engage with older users again with a notification. Edited March 17, 2025 by supportman

As an FYI. We intend to be doing the final phase this evening. As ZeroHour said, we had a couple of unexpected niggles to sort out. By the time we had fixed them we had ran out of time to do a migration last night.

I have one new blocker on the servers built for hosting which I am working on now. It didnt come up until they were built with newest versions.

and in a very trivial question... are we all starting from scratch with the badges etc. or is there an appropriately slow bot chonking away in the background and slowly applying all of the requisite 'chieves??

On the home page it says they're working on it but it's a manual process and they have to go through them 1 by 1 by 1 by 1...

I believe that the previous site's achievements were not transferable for technical reasons (they may have been a plugin), but will check with ZeroHour to see if anything can be done.
