[ms office - o365] Configure M365 apps to not require sign in

Hi all,

 

Looking for a way for students to use installed M365 apps on shared computers without signing in to MS... so they can save to local storage.

 

Does anyone know if this is possible with M365 apps ?

 

We're doing this whilst in the process of moving them to OneDrive after changing licensing to A3 EES.

Have deployed with 'Shared computer' parameter in the .xml deploy file. This seems to work for us. Logs them in to apps automatically.

Glad you got it sorted.

 

I haven't used that approach before. According to https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365-apps/licensing-activation/overview-shared-computer-activation users still sign in with a Microsoft account - it just doesn't count towards their limit of five activations.

 

Our scenario requires access without signing in at all.

Y thats what I thought... but it does log them in to all apps.

 

When we configured device based activation we got an error saying they need to sign in.
