Delete entire Teams Chat

Anyone know if there is a way to delete an entire teams chat for all participants, one of our teachers created a chat and loads of students just use it for chatting rubbish now, any idea how we delete the entire chat so no one can use it.

Make yourself an the owner of of the team if you aren't already, set the 'delete by owner' policy in teams admin centre, profit.

I think OP means an actual chat between people, not part of a team. As far as I'm aware there isn't a way to do it as an admin which has always bothered me. Would be interested to know if it is possible now!

Yes this, the chat owner (teacher) can delete but it says that it will only delete it for themselves. I suppose they can just remove all the students from the chat which takes away their access and then remove themselves/delete the chat would have the same effect and the chat would become a ghost chat.
