Techie-Tech Posted February 10, 2025 Posted February 10, 2025 Hi all, Is it possible to setup Radius to automatically connect domain joined laptops to a particular SSID without requiring a password or username? We just want the devices to connect and the users login as normal. If so, could someone please point me in the right direction it's been driving me nuts for 2 days. Many thanks
jezi55 Posted February 10, 2025 Posted February 10, 2025 (edited) Take a look into NPS policies. We currently deploy a certifiate to all active directory devices from a AD CS server/GPO, NPS then handles the authentication so they can join onto the SSID automatically. FOr our BYOD devices staff authenticate on the SSID with their AD user/password. NPS can also throw the device into different VLANs for staff/students etc. Edited February 10, 2025 by jezi55 1
pete Posted February 10, 2025 Posted February 10, 2025 Yes. Assuming Windows Radius, go into NPS > Policies > Network Policies and make a new policy ("AD Computers" or whatever) and on the Conditions tab add "Windows Group" (or machine group) and pick a group the laptops are a member of.
