Noxid_w Posted February 7, 2025 Posted February 7, 2025 I'm considering the Unfi URSCA training. Full title, Ubiquiti UniFi Routing, Switching And Cybersecurity Admin. As we are now full Unifi, I'm don't want to rely on external consultants and really dive deep into the infrastructure. Anyone completed this course or similar unifi courses? 1
Mr_Jiminy Posted February 7, 2025 Posted February 7, 2025 Yep I've done one, I did the Unifi Wireless course and enjoyed it. It does feel a bit crammed, but I got out of it what I needed. 1
TheHyperTechie Posted February 7, 2025 Posted February 7, 2025 Following, I have been looking at completing a UniFi course for a while.

m_m Posted February 7, 2025 Posted February 7, 2025 Specifically looking at this one if anyone is interested Ubiquiti UniFi Routing, Switching And Cybersecurity Admin Did this course in Sheffield with LinITX last year. Half a day on UFSP and then goes onto the more advanced URSCA. Exams are fairly easy and open book! Gives a good understanding of what Ubiquti have to offer but it also covers some vendor neutral stuff like OSPF & BGP. 1

I'm looking to do that course as we are moving Unifi out to the rest of our MAT and I could see it being useful if we start looking at site to site VPN connections, Sd-Wan, self hosting network controllers in azure etc. would say this course would help gives you the knowledge to do that?

It covers their 'Site Magic' S2S VPN, I think there was even a lab on that one. We use Site Magic to connect our schools together and it just works. It doesn't cover the actual setup of a self hosted controller as the labs use a UCG-Max which already runs UniFi Network. But the self hosted controller is the same as one that runs on a cloud gateway AFAIK. 1
