2NIPUni How to remotely connect to it

Hi, I have been working on an issue since forever. This IP tannoy speaker connects to the network through DHCP and when I type this into my search bar this gives me an error connecting to it and it just refuses the connection every time. I have no idea why this is because it was working before when it had a different IP address in the same subnet but now it is just like it is acting by itself.

 

Has anyone got any idea what could be the problem? I have been working on this issue for nearly a week and I am out of ideas as of why this is just being rogue.

Why does it now have a different address ? have you tried the old address ?

When I was told to facotry reset it from the company I have done this and it grabs a new IP address from DHCP automatically. I believe I have tried the old IP address it had but I still get the same issue the requested URL could not be retrieved error which is very strange becuase I used to be able to connect to it by typing in the I paddress. I can connect to all the other phones on the network on my laptop but for some reason not this system. [h=2][/h]

Can you plug a laptop directly in to the device and double check the network settings or is this not an option , I have neve used this type of device so maybe not

Is it giving you an error because of the likes of certificates and your browser won't let you bypass it, have you tried Firfox for example, you can tweak the config if it wont connect due to TLS version. Might be worth looking at that or post a screenshot of the error you are getting.

@MatthewL here are the screenshots of me connecting to the IP phone and then the IP tannoy. the phone and the tannoy are on the same vlan but from what I can see theyre on a different subnet which is weird.

That looks like proxy settings on your PC are kicking in, try turning off your proxy settings in your browser and seeing if it works, if you cannot try using Firefox as you can easily change the setting in there. Also does the address need a port adding to the end to access it. Might be worth checking the make and model online.

Hi Everyone I just wanted to update you that this has now been resolved. I have now forced it to change subnets and it now works just fine. It seems that the network switch it was connected to orginally was not responding to my changes when I was making them on the platform but this is all fine now.
