Alastairb25 Posted January 29, 2025 Posted January 29, 2025 Hi, We use a Wildix phone system with Daisy Communications for trunks. We find some schools the call just hangs up. Apparently this is our main school number being blocked. The provider (Daisy) can only tell us that a call blocking service has our main number listed We can change the outbound number, but then for the likes of the DSL other Schools refuse to talk because its not the main number Has anyone else experienced this ? TIA, Alastair
mavhc Posted January 29, 2025 Posted January 29, 2025 They can't tell you which call blocking service? Perhaps a friendly school that's blocking you knows? Or can you google your number?
Oaktech Posted January 29, 2025 Posted January 29, 2025 Can you make a record of what numbers it drops to to try and identify if it's landline only, mobile only, only businesses, only domestic etc? That'll help you to narrow down if it's a partcular telephony provider that you can then approach to plead your case. It doesn't take much with some suppliers. One of my friend's businesses got put on Vodafone's do-not-connect list because a customer that they were chasing for payment marked their number as spam on the mobiles they were calling. Took a legal challenge with supporting evidence of reasons behind the calls including the small claims court paperwork over debt to get Vodafone to concede the number had been misreported as spam with malicious intent.
