Hi all, need the hivemind's help here. We have one student who seems to be unable to turn in work for one single classroom that he's in. (the 'turn in' area is just blurred out for him) I've added him to a test classroom, assigned him a document, and he's able to see and turn in work there, but not in this classroom that this teacher has set up. We've done all the usual, cleared the cache, made sure his browser and chromebook are up to date, I've removed him from the classroom and re-added him back into it, he's tested it on a different device and through incognito mode. I've seen a number of posts online saying the same thing, but no-one seems to have found a fix for it. Anyone got any ideas?

It's a permissions thing. It's always a permissions thing. If the student is seeing 'turn in' instead of 'hand in' then it sounds like their language settings are incorrect too (assuming it's a UK school) which could be related.

I have seen this a few times and it has related to staff setting work that involves students accessing Google Docs that were on a shared drive that the student doesn't have access to. It shouldn't be possible to get to this stage because the permissions are checked when the assignment is created but it does happen.

Randomly had the same issue this morning. The student had hit their storage limit (We limit storage on Google Accounts). Once that's resolved it will go back to normal.

I see inconsistent behaviour on this - I see hand in within the Classroom interface but turn in on the toolbar in Docs of a document that's part of an assignment.

I'm really interested in how he's managing to use it normally when I set up a Classroom for him, if that's true! I'm planning to bring the teacher in for a chat to go over all her permissions just to be sure. It doesn't seem like it's a lack of access to the shared drive, unless she's sharing it with individual students instead of following our usual whole school policy. But it’s definitely something worth looking into!
