MYK-IT Posted November 25, 2024 Posted November 25, 2024 Don't play it myself, but a relative does and has an issue that I hope someone can help with... Essentially, little nephew has built up a massive world over the year, and recently logged onto his account from another relative's computer and half his world is missing. Comes home, logs into his computer and same issue, half his world that he has spent a year making is missing! Can any Minecraft experts assist? Or is it lost for ever??? Thanks,
Jawloms Posted November 25, 2024 Posted November 25, 2024 Bedrock, or Java? Is this on a realm/server?
MYK-IT Posted November 25, 2024 Author Posted November 25, 2024 No idea, just know it's via his Xbox...
dapaulio Posted November 25, 2024 Posted November 25, 2024 (edited) Sounds like his Minecraft has not being saving to the cloud. I know you said it was Xbox but I’m hoping the theory is the same. I’m a pc player So when Minecraft saves (on a pc) it saves a local copy and uploads to the cloud. In your nephews case Looks as though it’s not completed cloud step and when your nether has switched computer it has downloaded the last known good upload. On returning to his computer the cloud sync has loaded his new world as his most recent game My thought to try. See if you can locate the my world file from the Xbox file system and try seeing if it has cached multiple copies. If so try loading any copies that were saved from the most recent point before he lost his world Edited November 25, 2024 by dapaulio
