Sharing PowerBI pbix file with staff?

We've done some great data PowerBi Analysis from Bromcom and have a PBIX file I'd like to share with all our staff.

 

Unfortunately when I send it out, nobody can open it and it tries to get them to sign up to PowerBi premium account to view.

 

You can do this on a trial but it won't work long term and not really great for sending school wide.

 

Any other options that people know of?

1x PowerBI Pro license. Sign in to PowerBI Desktop with that Pro-licensed account.

File > Publish

 

Log in to https://app.powerbi.com - click ... on your report's Semantic Model entry > Refresh - set up the refresh (probs need to add in Data Source Credentials further up the page).

 

Now, configure Bromcom's shared viewer with the o365 credentials for the same Pro-licensed account at https://cloudmis.bromcom.com/Nucleus/UI/Areas/Framework/Maintenance.aspx?page=DAPRBICFG (use shared account - nb: the o365 account must not have MFA or Georestrictions enabled).

 

Point all staff to:

Modules > Analysis > PowerBI Viewer within Bromcom to view.

They'll be presented with a list of all available reports in the "My Workspace" workspace of that Pro-licensed BI account. Click to open.
