neonetman Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 (edited) Good afternoon hive mind, We have applied the print queue security settings advised by Papercut, however we seem to have an issue with jobs on one particular model of printer. Any jobs on queues using HP Universal Printing driver are being left in the queue after printing with a status of "sent to printer" Has anyone come across this, or know what the issue could be? MatthewL Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 Not sure what print queue security you are on about but are you using a PaperCut or Standard TCP/IP port for the queue? I have found PaperCut ports play up on some printers, try the native TCP/IP one.
PaperCutterAl Posted October 7, 2024 Posted October 7, 2024 Hello there, papercutter here. Your answer may lie in this KB article. Give it a whirl and let me know how you go: https://www.papercut.com/kb/Main/Senttoprinter/ 1
neonetman Posted October 7, 2024 Author Posted October 7, 2024 HI @MatthewL, THis is the article I was referring to about print queue security:- Best practices for configuring Windows Print Servers | PaperCut
neonetman Posted October 7, 2024 Author Posted October 7, 2024 HiPaperCutterAl , Thank you - turning off the bi-directional printing has worked a treat 1
