I used to run a system that monitored devices and servers and would let me know if a device was offline. Now, I only have one server (print) but would like to have a way of monitoring if that goes offline and one or two other workstations around the site as this would give me the heads up if there are other problems happening (power outage etc).

Needs to be cloud hosted that talked back to the machines and not something running onsite. Any suggestions?

If the print server goes down, my phone rings, I get a teams message and I'm paged over the radio. Pretty cool automation I call "colleagues" it's a byproduct of work done in the HR office and requires no configuration or maintenance in that regard.

It is also monitored by our service desk platform, but that take a minute or two before deciding the server is really down and raising an incident in the service desk.

Agree about the phone calls, but I'm trying to be a step ahead. I'd forgotten about Spiceworks! I've added a couple of devices to that, will see how that goes.

edit - Spiceworks is not instant enough for what I'm looking for
