rossibIT Posted September 6, 2024 Posted September 6, 2024 Morning All, Hope you have had a nice start to the term. Having issues with attachments being seen by parents when sending out intouch messages. Only connection we are making at the moment is, it is coming from the Yahoo circle of email addresses (@Sky.com, @AOL.com) any one else having these issues? Regards Ross
wpjon Posted September 9, 2024 Posted September 9, 2024 Hi, We are having the same issue, everyone who has reported the issue to us has yahoo email accounts. Was previously working ok. Jon.
rossibIT Posted September 9, 2024 Author Posted September 9, 2024 Hi Jon, Yes, it is an issue with SIMS, we have contacted our support company who are waiting for ESS to update them. Regards Ross
jcraig Posted September 10, 2024 Posted September 10, 2024 we have the same issue here have found if the parent forwards it to them selves the attachment suddenly works
rossibIT Posted September 11, 2024 Author Posted September 11, 2024 Oooh thank you for that information. Have you told anyone like ESS or whoever your SIMS support is with? Regards Ross
JDHaves Posted September 12, 2024 Posted September 12, 2024 (edited) My testing seems to show it's viewing the attachments in preview mode on the affected email suppliers - ie. in both Yahoo/Hotmail if you download the attachment and open them, they work fine - if you try to preview or download the preview on the web, it fails. Attachments work fine on my iOS devices. https://customer.support-ess.com/kb_view.do?sys_kb_id=cb572d02fbe4d21085b6f92abeefdc73 - here's a KB on the issue There's nothing on the ESS Service Status page to say problems with InTouch ... but ParentPay group have a conflcit of interest in maintaining and resolving issues with InTouch as they are also SchoolComms which I suspect is more profitable and less problematic ..
