My testing seems to show it's viewing the attachments in preview mode on the affected email suppliers - ie. in both Yahoo/Hotmail if you download the attachment and open them, they work fine - if you try to preview or download the preview on the web, it fails. Our support compnay suggested a 3:1 ratio would be more than enough (we've increased the number of handsets over the years) .. but the maths is fairly sound. In a school - haw many of those phones are sat with people with on a permanent desk .. how many Admin Staff? In our case, would 60 of them ever be on a call to each other at any one time locking our the system to other callers? We haven't got 60 admin staff sat permanently at desks, so likelyhood of their never being a free line is very low.

We're running about 100 on-site desksets and equivalent number of App users - all running from an Intel NUC. Overhead on the system isn't high.
