joe90bass Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 (edited) Sounds good, but what is it edit: Ah, I see, a bit of googling tells me this......... Welcome aboard! You're about to embark on a chat experience in which you can communicate and express yourself using avatars in your very own space. Choose an avatar and use it to make friends and chat. Create rooms, decorate them to your liking, and make sure to invite your friends over. Edited August 3, 2008 by joe90bass answered my own question!

KarlGoddard Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 its far more accessible than second life, it has limitations though but is a pretty exciting tool... been using it for about 3 weeks now cant wait for september to see if we can use it with the kids
FatBoy Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 Looks interesting I just setup an account and had a walk around could be useful
TechMonkey Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 Bit buggy. Just had over 200 lively errors freeze up Firefox which was interesting. Plus you can put furniture on the ceiling and sit on it, which amused me until I found that when you got off the chair you were on the roof of the room adn can't move. Fix is to place a new chair ont eh floor and sit on that, it transports you there. INteresting though.
EduTech Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 I was in the room all weekend well most off and no one come to say hello to me i was sitting on the bed lol. Rude!
TechMonkey Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 Tart They all knew your sort! Only just tried it but no one is in there.
EduTech Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 now that is very mean of you ... Dont talk to me Lol
russdev Posted August 5, 2008 Author Posted August 5, 2008 Talking to goggle they say that new tools for artists to create own content are due to released soon. Also if anyone got any experience of creating items etc for places like second life give me a pm as want to discuss something. Russ

Russ I don't think you can add user created items yet, but I would be interested in any projects using Lively you may working on....
maniac Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 I've been in there re-arranging the furniture! We now have a nice comfy sofa, and a TV in the corner!
somabc Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 Lively is not ready for your platform. Lively requires Windows Vista or XP with Internet Explorer or Firefox. Boo!
